Arys Handono
Portfolio and Work Experience
Story
My name is Arys Handono and I’m an alumni of Binus University year 2014. I describe myself as someone who constantly thinks of anything and take notes of them. These usually ended up turning into my blog entry.
I started to enjoy writing since my college days. Since then on, I aim to make a living out of this skillset, although I also start to learn more skills in art department, photography in particular. I also wish to become a horror-story author one day.

2022
This is the year when I started interning for GO-JEK for six months. I was part of the company’s Employee Branding team from July 2017 to January 2018.
After spending a year focusing on writing courses and freelance works, I started working at MNC Sky Vision as a Subtitle Translator starting in July 2019. Due to pandemic, I was retired as soon as my six-month contract was over in July 2020.
In March 2021, I worked as a part time customer service staff for JobStreet. Later in August of the same year, I worked at Monster Entertainment (Moonton), also as a customer service.
The year is when I actually started working as a writer. In June, I worked as a contributing writer for foreig news agency Origin Hope Media Group.
GO-JEK (2017)
As an intern for Employee Branding team, my work consisted on social media management (primarily LinkedIn). The main focus was to show people about the company’s working culture and to promote GO-JEK as the place to get their first working experience. These articles were published on the company’s career blog.
My responsibilities were writing articles about upcoming company events, latest app features, and featured employees. I also was assigned to make and distribute newsletters as a means of internal communication.
Mnc sky Vision (2019)
At MNC Sky Vision, I worked as a Subtitle Translator, translating English-written movies and series script into Indonesian subtitles for broadcast. The channels I worked on were National Geographics, AETN, HBO (before Cinemachi), and HITS Channel.
My works included several episodes of Wicked Tuna on NatGeo, The Righteous Gemstones on HBO, and Little House on the Prairie for HITS Channel.
Monster entertainment (2022)
At Monster Entertainment, I worked as a member of customer service team. While their main product is Mobile Legend: Bang Bang (MLBB), I was assigned to handle their side projects, Mobile Legends Adventure and Watcher of Realms. My main job was to assist the customers (players) with their problems with the games, such as bug reports and payment issues.
Additionally, I was also tasked to mentor several part time members of customer service team handling MLBB and check their working performances. Occasionally, I was also required to assist them with their workload.
origin hope media group (2022)
At Origin Hope Media Group, I got to ldemonstrate my writing skills as well as learning some more about news industry. Here, the writers are basically ghost writers for other clients.
The topics I was assigned to varied due to many clients. First time I worked here, I wrote sportsbook promos, before moving on to write about NFTs, e-sports, casinos, and culture, the latter which the client was Jakarta Post.
Freelance: Telkommetra (2017)
I occasionally freelance for TelkomMetra as a translator/proofreader, providing them with context and grammatical structures. The work mostly consists of articles, power point presentation and guidelines, but mostly legal confidential documents.
